Based on a true story Angelina Jolie plays Christine Collins, a single mother who has an undying love for her son. One day in 1928, Christine was called into work leaving her son Walter home alone. When she arrives back home that evening Walter is nowhere to be found. Five months after reporting Walter missing the police returned to her a boy they said was Walter who was found in Dekalb, Illinois. Christine alleged that the boy was not her son. The police had insisted it was her son and needed to take him home.
Even though Christine took care of the boy she knew it was not her son Walter. The police did not care whether the boy was or was not Walter Collins. Christine did everything in her power to prove that this was not her son. When she fought back by going to the press, the police have her admitted to the psycho ward. While in the hospital she soon learns she is not the only woman in there for standing up against the police. She sees how corrupt the Los Angeles police really are.
Soon after a young boy is picked up he confesses he and a relative had murdered 20 other children saying Walter was one of them. But was he sure? You’ll have to grab this movie and see for yourself!!! =)
