“Fame! I’m gonna live forever!” Â We all know this song and have heard it numerous times in our lives. Â Well at least all of us born in the 80s!
The performing arts of New York is now accepting applications for incoming freshman, and we see the talents of many young individuals. Â The movie portrays students that are involved in acting, singing, dancing, and different types of instrumental music. Â We see the students live a life of not only academics, which they must obtain a C average of they are kicked out, but also their performing art. Every student has their own struggle, whether it be in the school or out, but we see them work out their problems through their talent and with the help of their close friends. Â We get to see different arts back and forth and its nice to watch dancing one minute, and then acting the next. Â The movie is full of talent and energy, as well as the drama that all teenagers go through in high school. Â Fame stars Kelsey Grammer, Megan Mullally, Kay Panabaker, and Anna Marie Perez de Tagle, just to name a few.
Fame (2009) is the movie of the year when it comes to the performing arts!  I have not seen all the original movie Fame (1980), but I thought that the newer version was just phenomenal.  I did not have high expectations going into this film, as in remakes tend to not be as good as the original, but the talent is just amazing.  I really enjoyed watching all the dancing and singing, and still enjoyed the story line of teenagers struggling through performing arts program and wondering if they are going to make it as a professional dancer, actor or musician once they graduate.  Anyone who enjoys these types of movies will absolutely love it!  A must see for any dancers and musicians out there!!!

I actually wanted to see this one (just a little bit!) I loved Kherington Payne when she was on “So You Think You Can Dance.” I think it would be neat to see her in a film…she is amazing!
hmmm…i didn’t want to touch this remake because i loved the original film so much. is it really worth the rental?
When I first saw the previews for this movie, it made me wish that I can dance like them! HaHa!
I didn’t know Harry Potter could dance this good.
I was very disappointed in this movie. Keep in mind that I love dance movies (step up, flashdance, etc). However, this movie’s plot was too shallow for me. I felt like I couldn’t connect to any of the characters at all. In addition, the ending seemed like it dropped off… in other words, there was no conclusion.
On a side note, the dancing and directing was very well done (they could have actually done more dancing in my opinion)
