Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Absolutley hilarious!

Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) has been dating the love of his life  and television star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell) for five years.  Sarah stops by for a visit and breaks up with Peter.  He is just heartbroken and does not know how to get over her.  He tries sleeping with random women, but nothing seems to be working.  His step-brother Brian (Bill Hader)  suggests that he goes out of town for a while, so Peter heads to Hawaii.  Once there, he runs into Sarah and she is with her new boyfriend, Aldous Snow (Russell Brand), who is a famous rock star.  The receptionist Rachel (Mila Kunis) sees what a mess he is over this, and gives Peter the biggest suite in the hotel.

He thanks her and makes his way to have some drinks.  He spends his vacation learning how to surf, running into Sarah and Aldous, and making plans with Rachel.  He starts to fall for her and hang out with her as much as possible, until Sarah gets a call that her show is cancelled and she grieves to Peter.  While Peter is starting to move on with his life, Sarah’s is falling apart.  Aldous and her relationship is becoming strained, while Peter and Rachel are falling for each other.  This crazy trip gets weirder and weirder as the relationships become more intense.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall is hysterical and has so many awkward moments between exes, it makes it that much better.  I must say when I first turned on the movie and saw full frontal nudity of Jason Segel my first reaction was to turn it off because I thought it was going to be stupid, but I kept it on and I am glad I did.  There are a lot of great one liners and a lot of sarcasm that keeps the movie rolling with laughs.  The film also stars Jonah Hill and Paul Rudd, so of course there is more laughter there.  I hope that you enjoy this as much as I did!

I am a kindergarten teacher and everyday is something new and exciting. I am also a cheerleading coach at Benet Academy. I have a dog named Paisley and a husband named Steve. I absolutely love shopping, beaches, and anything Disney. I also like to read a lot and listen to music, especially country. My favorite genre of movies is romantic comedies, which are the ideal chick flicks!
