Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon star in Four Christmases, a comedy about a couple who avoids their families every year at Christmas as a result of growing up in stressful, broken homes.

This year, Brad (Vaughn) and Kate (Witherspoon) are anticipating their trip to Burma where they will be “inoculating babies” during the Christmas season… or so they tell their families. What they’re actually preparing for is their Christmas vacation to Fiji where they will spend Christmas with no one but each other in paradise, scuba diving, snorkeling, sun bathing, and all of it as far from their ridiculous families as possible.

When all flights out of San Francisco are cancelled due to fog, Brad & Kate are picked out of the crowd by a news crew that wants to know about their plans and what they’ll do now. Both of their families catch the interview on TV and start blowing up their phones with invitations for Christmas. Brad & Kate make commitments to all four of their divorced parents, and thus begins the most ridiculous Christmas ever. Skeletons begin pouring out of the closets as Brad & Kate try to endure what they’ve been avoiding for the past 3 years, resulting in some painfully embarrassing situations they can’t seem to get themselves out of. How will they cope? You’ll just have to buy yourself a few laughs this lovely holiday season and find out for yourself!

Vince Vaughn delivers a classic Vince Vaughn performance that’s just as funny and lovable as every other performance he gives. The mumbling, the elaborate monotone explanations, that deer-in-headlights look that he does so well… all first-class Vaughn and guaranteed to have your belly bursting with laughter!

Reese Witherspoon is her sweet, adorable self. She brings a kind of innocence to her roles that’s hard to duplicate. Together with Vaughn, the laughter and awkwardness is flowing, giving the audience something to relate to and laugh about.

All in all, Four Christmases will bring a smile to your face and an unpleasant feeling to your gut as you feel every bit out-of-place as our charming duo. Put it on your list of Christmas flicks to check out this season, you won’t be sorry! =)
