G-Force“I don’t like it when my fly is down.”

G-Force was the flick choice of the week picked by my 6 year old son.  Definitely, a movie of all ages to enjoy.  There is lots of action and adult humor, as any Disney/Pixar movie.  Just a little tip….You might have to explain to the little ones that no real gerbils or hamsters were used in the making of this movie.

Ben (Zach Galifianakis) who is part of a special division of the FBI has trained animals of different sort, mostly rodents and icky bugs, the tactics of secret agents.  The stars of the movie consist of Darwin (voice by Sam Rockwell), Juarez (voice by Penelope Cruz), Blaster (voice by Tracy Morgan), Speckles (voice by Nicholas Cage), and a fly (the eyes of all operations).  This movie’s plot has the typical, predictable villain/hero story line.  The voice acting was done really well too.  I had no idea that Nicholas Cage was the voice of the braniac mole – It definitely is surprising.  The movie starts right in a mission when Darwin and his counterparts break in to Leonard Saber’s (Bill Nighy) mansion who is believed to initiate world extermination with the use of household appliances.  They encounter many obstacles which includes being trapped in a pet shop and sharing a cage with an overbearing and powering hamster (voice by Steve Buscemi)….They also encounter many huge dogs, high speed chases, hungry snakes, out of control coffee machines,  little girls who love to dress up their pets,  high-speed traffic, fireworks, and many more….

My son and I both enjoyed the high speed chase with the FBI agents and the gerbil’s super-sonic plastic balls.  I really enjoyed the music too – which intensified the action packed scenes….

All in all, this movie portrays good moral.  No matter what your size, you can accomplish anything as long as you have at least one person that believes in you.
