get-smartIf you want to laugh all night long, you need to see this movie!

Get Smart (2008) is about an American secret agency that helps save the United States through times of crisis.  Maxwell Smart (Steve Carrell) is obssessed with becoming an agent and has passed his tests with flying colors.  His dream is to become just like Agent 23 (Dwayne Johnson).  The chief of control (Alan Arkin) feels that Maxwell is too valuable in the control room to promote to be an agent.  After an attack on the control center, Maxwell is promoted to Agent 86 and is assigned to the job with Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway).  Agent 99 did not want to work with 86, as he is very clumsy and was not very stealthful.  They fly overseas to Russia to get more information on Siegfried, the man with all the nuclear weapons.   They work together to find clues and outsmart their enemies, hitting many obstacles along the way, including Agent 86 being locked up for a false accusation of finding nuclear weapons in the bakery that was blown up.  Agent 86 wants to prove that their was evidence and breaks out to get to Los Angeles where the rest of the team is working to save the president.  As the story goes on Agent 86 and 99, start to fall in love and work as a dynamic duo to try and save the president and the city of Los Angeles.

Get Smart is a remake from the movie that was made in 1965.  This movie made me laugh out loud many times and  Steve Carrell is one of the funniest actors I have ever seen.  Carrell and Hathaway were a riot together, and their on-screen chemistry was very good.  There was never a dull moment in the movie, and the laughter and action just keeps on coming.  I highly recommend this movie to give you a good laugh, and it is definitely guy friendly.  I give Get Smart 4.5 stars for the comedy in this movie!  If you enjoy other Steve Carrell films, you need to add this to your collection!

I am a kindergarten teacher and everyday is something new and exciting. I am also a cheerleading coach at Benet Academy. I have a dog named Paisley and a husband named Steve. I absolutely love shopping, beaches, and anything Disney. I also like to read a lot and listen to music, especially country. My favorite genre of movies is romantic comedies, which are the ideal chick flicks!
