Hannah Montana: The Movie

1569sv6The best of both worlds?  Not this time Miley!

Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) is so busy working in the world of “Hannah Montana”, she does not have time for her family or friends.  Due to a shoe fight with Tyra Banks, Miley is late for her best friend Lily’s (Emily Osment) sweet sixteen birthday party, and ruins everything when she shows up still dressed as Hannah.  Thinking she is on her way to New York, Bobby Ray (Billy Ray Cyrus) has other plans for Miley.  He brings her back to her hometown of Crowley Corners, along with Jackson (Jason Earles) to remember who Miley was and used to be.  Throughout the two weeks, Miley realizes just how much she has missed being a normal girl and living in Tennessee and revisits with an old friend Travis (Lucas Till), who then becomes Miley’s love interest.  With many obstacles and plans of disaster, Miley breaks down and just doesn’t think she can be Hannah anymore.  With her battling back and forth between Miley and Hannah, she decides to follow her heart and chooses a path that makes her happy.

As a huge fan of the show, I fell in love even more with the movie.  Set in Tennessee, brings out my love of the country and country music.  It has the same sense of humor and crazy hi-jinks that Miley and Lily are always doing in the show.  There was never a dull moment; I was constantly laughing, emotionally built up, or singing along to the songs.  Speaking of songs, the movie has a great soundtrack, including songs from Hannah, Miley, and Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts, all of which sing in the movie too!  Every tween and teenage girl is doing the “Hoedown Throwdown” these days!

I give the movie 5 stars!  I saw it in the theatre the night it came out and I would have seen it again if I had the opportunity.  It is kid-friendly and the whole family will enjoy it!   I suggest purchasing the DVD or Blu-Ray today and having a fun family night in to watch it, and do a little hoedown yourself :)
