The best of both worlds? Â Not this time Miley!
Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) is so busy working in the world of “Hannah Montana”, she does not have time for her family or friends. Â Due to a shoe fight with Tyra Banks, Miley is late for her best friend Lily’s (Emily Osment) sweet sixteen birthday party, and ruins everything when she shows up still dressed as Hannah. Â Thinking she is on her way to New York, Bobby Ray (Billy Ray Cyrus) has other plans for Miley. Â He brings her back to her hometown of Crowley Corners, along with Jackson (Jason Earles) to remember who Miley was and used to be. Â Throughout the two weeks, Miley realizes just how much she has missed being a normal girl and living in Tennessee and revisits with an old friend Travis (Lucas Till), who then becomes Miley’s love interest. Â With many obstacles and plans of disaster, Miley breaks down and just doesn’t think she can be Hannah anymore. Â With her battling back and forth between Miley and Hannah, she decides to follow her heart and chooses a path that makes her happy.
As a huge fan of the show, I fell in love even more with the movie. Â Set in Tennessee, brings out my love of the country and country music. Â It has the same sense of humor and crazy hi-jinks that Miley and Lily are always doing in the show. Â There was never a dull moment; I was constantly laughing, emotionally built up, or singing along to the songs. Â Speaking of songs, the movie has a great soundtrack, including songs from Hannah, Miley, and Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts, all of which sing in the movie too! Â Every tween and teenage girl is doing the “Hoedown Throwdown” these days!
I give the movie 5 stars! Â I saw it in the theatre the night it came out and I would have seen it again if I had the opportunity. Â It is kid-friendly and the whole family will enjoy it! Â I suggest purchasing the DVD or Blu-Ray today and having a fun family night in to watch it, and do a little hoedown yourself
