Liar, Liar

I will never forget finding this movie in my Easter basket and how excited I was!  And now watching again as an adult, it’s even better!

Fletcher Reede (Jim Carrey) is one of the best lawyers in town because of his way to finesse the his clients and the judges.  It does not seem to work so well when Fletcher is always lying to his son Max (Justin Cooper) about never getting to spend time with him.  When Fletcher misses his son’s birthday party, he wishes that for just one day his father can not tell a lie.  At the exact moment of the wish, Fletcher starts telling the truth, and nothing but the truth.  He finds it very hard to get through his court case, talk to his ex-wife Audrey (Maura Tierney), and get out of a speeding ticket because he can not tell any lies to anyone.  Fletcher learns the hard way about being a good father to Max and is about to lose him forever when Audrey decides they are going to movie to New York.  Fletcher does everything in his power to make this move not happen, but nothing seems to go his way without lying.

This film is one of the best comedies I have ever seen in my life.  I have seen this movie at least a hundred times and it never gets old.  I watched it on ABC family this evening, and could not have laughed any harder!  I hope that all of you enjoy this hilarious comedy as much as I do!

I am a kindergarten teacher and everyday is something new and exciting. I am also a cheerleading coach at Benet Academy. I have a dog named Paisley and a husband named Steve. I absolutely love shopping, beaches, and anything Disney. I also like to read a lot and listen to music, especially country. My favorite genre of movies is romantic comedies, which are the ideal chick flicks!
