New Moon: The Twilight Saga

new-moon-official-poster-leakedAnnouncing all Twilight Fans!  This movie was better than the first one by a longshot!  If you read the books or not, you will love New Moon!

New Moon begins with Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) 18th birthday, and all she is worried about is getting older.  She does not want to be older than Edward (Robert Pattinson), and the only gift she wants from him is to be changed into a vampire.  Alice (Ashley Greene) throws Bella a birthday party at the house and as she is opening gifts, she gets a papercut and starts bleeding.  Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) loses all control and tries to attack Bella.  Edward jumps in front launching Bella behind him, causing even more blood to spill, and throwing Jasper into the piano.  Carlisle (Peter Facinelli) takes Bella upstairs to give her stitches while the rest of the family calms Jasper down.  Edward takes Bella home, and this is when Edward starts to doubt being with Bella.  He is not at school the next day, but is waiting for Bella to get home from school.  He tells her the family has to leave and he does not want her anymore.  He promised her that this would be the last time she would ever see him and she was to not do anything reckless and dangerous.

Edward leaving makes Bella go into a deep depression and dark state of mind.  Charlie (Billy Burke) talks to Bella after a couple of months and tells her that she is going to go live with her mother.  Bella refusesand claims that she is seeing her friends.  Bella and Jessica (Anna Kendrick) go the movies, and Bella notices a group of men that she saw a year ago.  She started walking towards them when she saw an image of Edward.  He spoke to her and told her to walk away.  The closer she got to them, the more Edward appeared.  This is when Bella noticed that when she has reckless behaviors, that’s when she sees Edward.  This is also the time that she starts to hang out with Jacob (Taylor Lautner) everyday.  They make motorcycles together, and you can see their friendship grow.  Of course Jacob wants to be with Bella, but Bella only sees Jacob as a friend and is not ready to move on.  He promises that he will never hurt or leave her the way that Edward did.

The next couple of weeks, Jacob is no where to be found.  Bella keeps trying to call and see him, but he does not respond.  When she finally does see him, he tells her that she needs to stay away from him and he can’t explain why.  Her heart starts to ache again, until she finds out that Jacob has been transformed into a werewolf.  She refuses to stay away and Jacob and his pack do everything they can to protect Bella and Charlie.  Bella then decides to cliff jump to see Edward again, where she almost dies, but is saved by Jacob.  Alice shows up thinking that Bella is dead, and Edward thinks that Bella is dead and goes to see the Volturi to have his life taken from him.  Jacob begs Bella to stay, and this is when Bella realizes who her heart belongs to.

New Moon was just absolutely entertaining for all.  I really enjoyed seeing the book come to life, and I fell in love with Jacob in this movie.  There is a lot more action then in Twilight, and of course all of the romance and heartbreak that every girl longs to see.  Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have amazing chemistry throughout this movie and it just makes their relationship seem so real.  I give New Moon 5 stars!  I highly suggest you see this movie in the theaters, and if you haven’t read the book yet, make sure you pick up your copy today!

Sorry sister, I have to disagree with you on this one! I thought this movie was poorly made, corny, and portrayed juvenile acting skills. I can’t decide if I hate Bella’s character or if I have Kristen Stewart’s acting skills. I am so sick of the “eh…wha….pshh….ehhh….errr…”!! I feel like Bella’s character is constantly in confusion and her face has that contorted “I don’t understand anything” look. I despise Jacob’s character, and considering this movie was mostly about his relationship with Bella, I did not care for it. Robert and Taylor may be hott young boys….but that is not enough for me to enjoy the movie. Nice review though! Most of the girls at the office saw this and they loved it too!

The only way I would give this movie 5 stars would be if there were more scenes with Jacob, standing shirtless with rain pouring down all over his bodacious body! I do think his acting was a bit weak. My favorite line was ” things are about to get ugly.”

i would give this movie 0 stars. i had a hard time watching it because i can’t decide if they were serious when they filmed it. i feel like it’s ridiculously cheesy and it almost seems as if they are mocking the books. i felt really uncomfortable watching it. however, i do think that it was a smidge better than the first one. but only a mere smidge. i think it seemed less awkward with the cullens not in it as much because they make them seem so awkward – it’s not like that in the book! grrr! ohh the crisis of making books into movies. i wish someone would get it right.

I love the books, I thought they were fantastic, however the movies are actually pretty bad. I do blame Kristen Stewart’s acting, she is the same in every role. If anyone has seen Wonderland, you know what I mean. I kept thinking she was Bella awkwardly placed in a totally different movie. Same with an earlier role in Panic Room, she just has no skill. I think they cast her only because of her looks, which also aren’t too amazing.
