After seeing Night at the Museum, I was very excited to see the second one. Â Not only is it hilarious and has some action, you learn about some world history!
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian has an all-star casting including, Ben Stiller, Amy Adams, Robin Williams, and Owen Wilson, just to name a few. Â Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) is an inventor who does not seem to be totally satisfied with his new job of being owner and inventor of Daley Devices. Â Larry used to be the night guard at the Museum of Natural History, so he takes a ride over to see his friends. Â Once inside the the museum, he sees that a lot of the exhibits are being packed up and shipped to federal storage for renovations and upgrades. Â He says goodbye to all the exhibits and heads out. Â Larry gets a phone call the next night from Jedediah (Owen Wilson) saying that the tablet was brought on accident and now the new exhibits are in danger. Â Larry flies to Washington D.C. to help his friends out. Â He steals the badge of a night guard, and finds Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams) who helps him save his friends. Â An evil Pharoah, Kahmunrah, is not happy with these intruders and gives Larry one hour to get the code to the tablet or his friends all die. Â Larry and Amelia visit many exhibits to find out the code to save everyone, and we even get to see a little romance with Amelia Earhart falling for Larry.
This is a great family movie as these exhibits come to life and we learn about our world’s history. Â I would definitely watch the first movie so you know the plot and how Larry Daley becomes friends with all these exhibits that come to life. Â Then the second movie makes more sense, has a lot more action and humor, and it all ties together. Â Did I mention that there is a cameo of the Jonas Brothers singing?!? Â Oh yes, there are three singings statues, and they are the Jonas Brothers! I really enjoyed watching this film, and I if you have a chance, you will sit and watch it too.
