A must see for all of the *NSYNC lovers out there!
Kevin Gibbons (Lance Bass) is the guy who can not commit to a girl. Â He talks to them and then just can’t follow through to get their number or ask to see them again. Â Kevin meets a girl on the train (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and they connect by talking about Al Green, paper airplanes and reciting the presidents in order. Â Of course, as they part, Kevin chokes and does not ask her name or her number. Â They part ways, and it is over. Â At work, Kevin is having the same problem with not speaking up for himself in his Reebok campaign, and thats when it hits him that he needs to take a chance and search for the girl he met on the ‘L’ train. Â He posts signs all over Chicago, and his story becomes the hottest love story around town.
Women from all over are calling to meet Kevin and he gets frustrated with all of it and starts to give up. Â His friends Rod (Joey Fatone), Eric (GQ) and Paul (Jonathan Watton)Â have decided to help Kevin takes some of his dates away and help filter them out until they find “the girl from the train”. Â Â Eric ends up getting the date with her, the reporter runs the article on him when he finds out about what is going on, and his love life turns into shambles. Â He tries one last time to redeem himself, and every local television station is there waiting to see if the REAL ‘L’ train girl shows up.
This movie also has appearances by Al Green, Richie Sambora and Jerry Stiller.
As all other chick flicks, this movie is about a boy chasing a girl, losing the girl, and then getting the happy ending. When I saw this movie in the theaters, I was in high school and head over heels for *NSYNC, as well as every other girl in the country!  I absolutely loved the movie then, and as I am watching  again, eight years later, it still brings a smile to my face.  Yes, it is cheesy and yes, it is the typical bad chick flick, but it is my guilty pleasure that brings me back to my high school years of swooning over the members of *NSYNC and wishing a guy would be chivalrous toward me.  It is definitely worth the watch if its on tv that night, just to bring you back to those giddy high school years of sleepovers with the girls!
