Four best friends from high school are back for Thanksgiving break and decide to hang out there last night home.  Alec (Aaron Ashmore) is the pledging frat boy, Nolan (Johnny Lewis) is the super shy guy with the ‘picture perfect’ family, Ryan (Justin Mentell) is the bad boy, and Patrick (Ben Savage) has a girlfriend from home and is obsessed with his internship.  The boys end up spending the night going their seperate ways and have some adventures on their way home. Alec learns that being a frat boy may not be all that its cracked up to be.  Nolan meets a girl named Jamie (Autumn Reeser) who brings out his shyness and they spend the whole night together doing random things.  Ryan meets up with his at-home booty call, Audrey (Shoshana Bush).  She realizes that this is all that she wants, takes his car, and leaves.  Ryan is left with Audrey’s grandmother and has to take her with him to find Audrey, where he learns how to be a gentleman and care for Audrey the way he should.  Patrick visits his girlfriend Amy (Rosalie Ward) and she breaks up with him.  Patrick is so heartbroken that he spends the night at a party with his brother getting drunk.  After a very eventful night, the guys end up leaving their break new men and have a whole new perspective on their lives.

Palo Alto, CA came up on my Netflix as a movie that I might like, so I thought I would try it.  This film was shown at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival, and was produced by the youngest director at the festival Brad Leong.  I thought it started out kind of slow, but then it picked up and it reminded me of a typical high school movie.  It was great to see Ben Savage star as someone other than Cory Matthews!  I think if you enjoyed the American Pie films, this would be a good watch for you!

I am a kindergarten teacher and everyday is something new and exciting. I am also a cheerleading coach at Benet Academy. I have a dog named Paisley and a husband named Steve. I absolutely love shopping, beaches, and anything Disney. I also like to read a lot and listen to music, especially country. My favorite genre of movies is romantic comedies, which are the ideal chick flicks!
