Paranormal ActivityScary Scary Scary!……

When my mom and I went to Chicago for the weekend to see my brother, we all decided to go see this movie.  We sat excited in the packed theater awaiting the for the start of this film. After watching this movie we all were freaked out. Especially my brother, he was trying to scare my mom and I, but instead of scaring us he freaked himself out. He showed us his arm, he had goosebumps galore and his hair was standing straight up!! So, needless to say, this movie is a bone chilling experience!

After moving in with her boyfriend, Katie (Katie Featherston) claims to be hearing noises. Her boyfriend Micah (Micah Sloat) thinks she is “crazy” at first but, he too starts to hear the noise. We soon find out that Katie has a history with the supernatural. She tells creepy stories about being terrorized by a dark shadow standing at the end of her bed when she was only eight years old. She also tells of hearing heavy breathing next to her and claims she can feel when this entity is near her. When these things start to happen again in her new house she wants to ignore them, but boyfriend Micah is super fascinated by the whole idea. He went out and bought a camera so he could set it up inside their home and film all the paranormal activity that is going on. The camera is set up in the couple’s bedroom facing the door so you can see down the hallway. With Micah’s sense of humor the first hour or so of the movie is not scary at all. It’s mostly laughs because of the way he talks to Katie. The movie soon becomes a little creepy.

What begins as a door swinging back and forth, a shadow crossing the room in the dark, footprints on the floor, and more and more banging sounds, soon turns into something way more intense. Katie calls a medium to try and help rid their home of this ghost, but the medium claims the spirit is far to powerful for him. Micah convinces Katie not to call another medium, as he wants to try to fix it on his own. When he finally realizes he cannot fix the problem alone, Katie calls the medium back. He walks into the house and says he cannot be there, this entity does not want him there, he is no help to them he needs to leave. Katie and Micah are left to deal with this problem alone once again. The movie gets pretty intense and freaky at the end. You see things you would never be able to see or explain if you hadn’t captured it on camera. The end of the story is something you would never expect to happen.

I like a good horror. We live in the country and I usually wait till after dinner to feed my horse; this time of year when it’s dark. It’s fun running out to the barn right after seeing a horror such as this one… thank goodness only my cats have seen how badly I embarrass myself at the littlest sound. ;) Thanks for sharing, it sounds great!
