Ramona and Beezus

Based on the novels written by Beverly Cleary, Ramona (Joey King) is child with a very creative imagination; one that may get her in a little too much trouble.  She is the middle child right between teenager Beezus (Selena Gomez), who is the perfect student and child, and a baby sister Roberta (Aila and Zanti McCubbing) who does the cutest things all the time.  Ramona’s dad (John Corbett) loses his job, and Ramona tries to step up to the plate to help the family out with their money situation.  All of Ramona’s plans end messy and become more of a problem than what she started with.  She tries so hard to change, but her imagination gets to the best of her and she feels more alone than ever.

This film also stars Josh Duhammel, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Sandra Oh.  It brought back a lot of good memories from my 2nd and 3rd classes when Beverly Cleary was the author to read!  I was so glad when this movie came out and it brought Ramona to life.  I laughed a lot and I think that all kids would enjoy all of the accidents Ramona has.  What a great family movie!

I am a kindergarten teacher and everyday is something new and exciting. I am also a cheerleading coach at Benet Academy. I have a dog named Paisley and a husband named Steve. I absolutely love shopping, beaches, and anything Disney. I also like to read a lot and listen to music, especially country. My favorite genre of movies is romantic comedies, which are the ideal chick flicks!
