I saw this when it opened on Christmas day. I have to say that while I was already optimistic about the film, I was still really surprised by how good it was. It was really well written to start with, and the cast was just fantastic together. And I love how they made Holmes a really quirky and somewhat socially awkward genius, instead of the more prim and proper Sherlock I remember from the stories. Can't wait for the next Holmes adventure!

I'm actually surprised to hear this was good. The trailer doesn't tell me much but I loved your review of it. Maybe I'll check out the movie ove Christmas break
