Disney does it again!

The newest Disney film Tangled is about Rapunzel (Mandy Moore).  She was born as the princess and had magical hair.  It is blonde and it glows.  When it gets cut, it turns brown, and she loses her powers.  A witch (Donna Murphy) came into the castle and stole the baby princess and took her to a tower in the middle of the forest.  The witch raises Rapunzel as her own daughter, and she has never left the tower.  As she grows older, she asks her mothers permission to leave the tower, but she refuses to let her go.  Meanwhile, a thief Flynn Rider (Zachary Levi) gets into some trouble and climbs the tower to safety, finding Rapunzel.  She makes a deal with him to bring her to see the lights that come out only on her birthday, and off they go on their adventure!

While Rapunzel is learning all about this new world, Flynn is trying to save himself from getting caught.  They go through many adventures and run away from many dangers before, of course, falling in love and getting split up again because Rapunzel’s mother made a deal with some guys looking for Flynn.  They both become locked up in different places, thinking they will not see each other again, but Rapunzel starts to realizes who she is and that those lights are meant for her each year on her birthday, and so another adventure begins to try and save Flynn and escape her mother!

Tangled is a great family movie with a lot of adventure and action.  Disney has made a new family favorite, especially for little girls who love princesses, or adults (like me!) who enjoy Disney’s animated films.  The animation is great and Mandy Moore is a great Rapunzel!  Enjoy a night of being a kid all over again!
