Sandra Bullock plays Margaret Tate, a big shot editor in chief at a publishing company. Ryan Reynolds plays Andrew Paxton, her assistant.  Margaret, let’s say, is not liked by anyone in the office setting. Ryan does everything asked of him working all the time which causes him not to have any kind of social life. He does this in hopes of becoming an editor himself one day.
Facing deportation to Canada, Margaret talks Andrew into marrying her. Andrew agrees under certain conditions. Margaret finally agrees and the fun begins when they head off to Alaska to stay with Andrews’ family. While in Alaska immigration is catching on to their little scheme.
The other characters, played by Betty White, Mary Steenbergen, and more, add to the charm of this romantic comedy.   This movie made me laugh out loud, shed a tear, and want to go on vacation to!  I would recommend watching this movie with your sister, mother, grandmother, daughter , or that special someone. It might not be a must see movie but I was pleasantly surprised and it was worth the money!
