If I had not needed a movie to write a review on, I probably would have turned this one off within the first 30 minutes!
The Ramen Girl is basically the same story as the Karate Kid except with really bad acting and instead of karate the film revolves around Ramen Noodles (but not like the packets we all know and love). Brittany Murphey (mmbaah) stars as Abby, a selfish American who follows her boyfriend to Tokyo. Once the boyfriend dumps her (which don’t blame the guy), she finds herself lonely and stranded in a foreign country. She is eventually called to work at a Ramen Noodle shop owned by an aging master chef. She learns a bit of hard work and eventually learns about herself. With a bit of persistency and soul-searching, she masters the Ramen Noodle making.
Ok, ok…so maybe I’m being a bit harsh. The film was at least entertaining enough to finish. The acting was pretty weak, but I found myself laughing and even getting choked up at some points. Brittany Murphy has yet to make a film that I can say that I want to watch again. If you are bored one night and you have nothing else to do…pop this movie in. It will at least keep your mind entertained for an hour or so.
I give this movie 2 stars…sorry Brittany…maybe next time.

aging Master Chief? so this movie is set waaaay in the future?
And who knew Master Chief would be running a Ramen Noodle shop? It’s probably just a front for some sort of military operation.
Bad typo…..laaaaaugh it up!
I love you CHRISTINE!!!
