Pixar never ceases to amaze me! Audiences will love seeing the familiar faces of Woody and Buzz along with their beloved friends in Pixar‘s Toy Story 3. Most movie sequels get old, tiring, and predictable; however this is not the case! Pixar’s master minds have created a blend of characters and mixed them into a story that will have audiences’ hearts in the palm of their hands. Toy Story 3 is one of the most talked about summer flicks, and the wait was well worth it!
Andy is now ready to leave the next and head off to college. When his mother instructs him to clean out his room, he is faced with the decision of what to do with his old toys. Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz (Tim Allen) ensure the other toys that Andy will likely store them and keep them safe in his home. When the toys are accidentally donated to Sunnyside Daycare, the toys realize that their fates are about to change. Initially, the toys are overjoyed that they have all sorts of children to play with them. They quickly learn the daycare toys have their own agenda about how the daycare is established and are deceived by the leader of the toys, Lotso Bear (Ned Beatty). Woody and the toys band together to escape the confines of the daycare center and experience life-changing challenges in order to get back to their rightful owner, Andy.
Toy Story 3 follows a line of Toy Story 1 (1995) & 2 (1999). Almost 15 years later, Pixar still manages to produce a film that both adults and children can fall in love with. It was great to see the film’s favorite characters and quickly fell in love with some new faces added to the story. I was impressed with the movie’s dramatic story line, as well. Not only was the movie filled with hysterics, but it also incorporated a blend of emotions that all generations can appreciate. This was a movie where I found myself completely engulfed in the film, almost forgetting that I was sitting in the middle of a movie theater. This is one of the best feel-good flicks I’ve seen in a long time and I think it’s about time that we had a legitimate quality family film.
Toy Story 3 deserves a solid 5 stars and I would probably give it more if our ratings went any higher! I am sure this is a movie that we will purchase on Blu Ray to watch at home! I saw this movie in 3D, however, would like to point out that this feature did not make the film any better or worse. If it’s not killing you to see Toy Story 3 in 3D, save yourself a few bucks and see it in 2D, I promise it will be just as good.

we saw this yesterday and loved it, too! i was as bit choked up in some parts…i feel such a huge connection to these movies because they were such a great part of my childhood!
it was so refreshing to see a well done, heartwarming film in a major theatre, as they have become such a rarity.
I completely agree with your comment. There was some great drama bits in this film. Glad you liked it!
a* bit choked up…can we add a delete feature to these comments so i can erase and repost in times of error??! haha.
Yes. When I actually get time I was hoping to rebuild the site from the ground up. There’s a lot more that needs done other than adding a delete button to the comments
I can’t wait to see this! =D
You will LOVE it. This movie is right up your alley!
We were hoping to take my fiance’s 7 year old son to see this, but apparently Buzz and Woody aren’t “cool” anymore – he’s all about Iron Man now.
Maybe we’ll have to make it a date night movie, lol!
Haha! Bummer! Toy Story is WAY better than Iron Man. But…to each his own!
This movie would make for a great date night!
You liked Toy Story 3 but not Daybreakers? psh Frankie is way better than Woody lol
Those movies are in two different genres. BUT, Toy Story is definitely the head of the pack in it’s genre, whereas Daybreakers falls by the wayside and will likely be forgotten about until you find it in a $5 DVD bin at Walmart.
