Valentine’s Day

If you loved Love Actually and She’s Just Not That Into You, then you will fall in love with Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day is based on all different types of love and heartbreak that occur on the most romantic day of the year.  The film opens up with a proposal, then goes into other couples giving cute little gifts.  Everyone in the film is connected to someone by family, friend or acquaintance.  There is a grade school boy in love with his teacher, a sex hotline operator who is starting a new relationship, a cute high school couple wanting to go all the way and much much more.  This film stars many of our favorite actors including, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Patrick Dempsey, Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, and the two most popular Taylors, Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift.

I give this film 4.5 stars!  I thought it was such a cute movie with most of my favorite actors.  I like these movies where the plot is pretty much the same for each couple, and somehow everyone knows each other.  I think these films are fun, and there were two surprises at the end that I did not expect at all.  Of course it is the typical romantic comedy, but I thought it was great.  I watched it with my husband, and he said that he also enjoyed it, and he did not even fall asleep! (which he does in almost every movie we watch!)  He said that even though it was a chick flick, there were so many stars that it kept his interest.  I think this film would be great to watch with your significant other or your best friends on a girls night!  I would definitely buy this movie and watch it again and again!

I am a kindergarten teacher and everyday is something new and exciting. I am also a cheerleading coach at Benet Academy. I have a dog named Paisley and a husband named Steve. I absolutely love shopping, beaches, and anything Disney. I also like to read a lot and listen to music, especially country. My favorite genre of movies is romantic comedies, which are the ideal chick flicks!

Eh….I’m hot and cold on this one. I wanted to see it with all the stars, yet at the same time I wasn’t really sold on the concept of the movie. I might give it a try.

  • I got my fiancé to go see this with me at the theatre and he liked it, too. I was going to make myself wait till valentines day to watch it again, but now I really want to see it!
