What Is A Chick Flick? Chick Flick Reviews Knows!

What makes a chick flick a chick flick? There are many definitions out there for the term. Dictionary.com defines a chick flick as “a movie intended for and marketed to females, with themes, characters, or events more likely to appeal to women than men”.

Which movies are those?  That depends on which women you ask.

Here at Chick Flick Reviews, we understand that all chicks don’t dig the same flicks.  Some women absolutely love the “typical” chick flick.  Others prefer their chick flicks to be a little more on the childish side.   And still others may want their chick flick to be filled with explosions and fights. Why should a chick flick have to be a romantic comedy and make you cry right before the end to be called a chick flick?

We use the term “chick flick” liberally.  If it’s a movie and it appeals to any Chick Flick Reviews staff member, then it is a chick flick as far as we’re concerned.
